The excursion starts touring the major avenues of the Civic Quarter of the city of Santiago. At the heart of the city is the Moneda Palace - the Presidencial Palace, a large neoclassical building of the 18th century.  The tour continues with a visit to the Pre-Columbian Art Museum, considered one of the best in its field in the world. The museum displays more than 1,500 pottery and textiles pieces from the Inca, Maya, and Azteca cultures . The excursion proceeds by way of the traditional Plaza de Armas (Main Square) surrounded by important buildings such as the 18th Century Santiago Cathedral, the National Historical Museum, and the Central Post Office building. The tour includes a visit to the colourful Central Market, and continues by way of the "Parque Forestal" to see and climb the Santa Lucía Hill, the original site of the city when founded in 1541.
